M-Net’s Format Development Unit introduces the TeleLovela, which is a world first for South Africa with kykNET’s Ligte, Kamera… Liefde (Lights, Camera… Love).

The TeleLovela is a new way to tell a love story. Half-hour episodes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday bring viewers the love story in daily doses.
Then, the whole romance is seamlessly edited into a stand-alone feature: a Lovela.

Each TeleLovela tells a new love story, set in a unique story world, shot on location – from the busy streets of big cities to sleepy seaside towns, two people falling in love is a universal story.

Ligte, Kamera… Liefde stars Jenna Dunster, Jacques Bessenger, Heidi Mollentze, Chris de Clerq, Bouwer Bosch, Danie Putter and Marlee van der Merwe.

LeRoux Botha directed, Chris Vermaak was director of photography while Handrie Basson wrote the script with input from Henrietta Greyffenberg, commissioning editor and screenwriting guru at kykNET.

Ligte, Kamera… Liefde screens from Monday 2 September to Thursday 5 September at 22h00 with repeats at 09h30. The movie broadcasts on Friday 6 September at 21h30.
