The Bioscope Independent Cinema screens An Oversimplification of Her Beauty on
Saturday 25 May 2013. This creative debut feature by executive producers Jay-Z, Dream
Hampton and Wyatt Cenac was directed by Terence Nance.
Documenting the relationship between Terence (Nance) and a young woman
(Namik Minter) the film utilises live action and various styles of animation.
Experimental in nature, the film explores the fantasies, emotions and memories that go
through Nance’s mind as he examines single moments in time.
