SA soccer legend kicks off Disney campaign


South African soccer legend Siphiwe Tshabalala will kick off the fourth phase of Disney
XD’s Aim High campaign which launches exclusively on Disney XD DStv Channel 304

The Walt Disney Company Africa selected Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder
Tshabalala to front the next phase of Disney XD’s Aim High exciting initiative
designed to inspire a generation of kids to get the most out of life, try new things
and be the best they can be.

The campaign offers fans the chance to win a “once in a lifetime’ experience with
inspirational mentors.

Aim High is an initiative that gives kids across the country the chance to win a series
of mentorships in different fields to learn how to realise their true potential by
seeking inspiration from world-class sportsmen and musicians.

Tshabalala achieved fame when he scored the opening goal for Bafana Bafana against
Mexico during the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

Regarding his involvement with Aim High, Tshabalala says: “It is a great honour to be
selected as Aim High mentor. As a child I had great mentors who gave me
opportunities that changed my life. It is great to know that I now have the
opportunity to return the favour.’

Entries open on 3 May 2013.

To enter, fans simply need to visit the Disney XD Aim High microsite or go to MXit >Tradepost >
Entertainment > Disney > Disney XD before 13 June 2013 and answer a multiple
choice question and state why they should be selected for this opportunity to learn
from an international soccer star.

The winner will get to spend a day with Siphiwe Tshabalala, learning the tricks of the
trade directly from his or her mentor.

Aim High’s previous mentors include singing sensation and winner of South Africa
Idols Season 6, Elvis Blue, South African rugby star, Tendai ‘The Beast’ Mtawarira and
international South African cricket star Dale Steyn.
