At NAB 2013 in Las Vegas, Rohde & Schwarz DVS GmbH will be showcasing an unprecedented performance increase in its compact SpycerBox storage solution. Cutting-edge SSD (Solid State Disk) technology enables SpycerBox to transfer data internally at a rate of up to 12 GByte/s, while the new web-based management GUI offers maximum ease of use.
Furthermore, the new SAN Remo management GUI lets users configure and monitor data more easily.
The central SpycerBox storage solution, which is available in multiple versions, integrates into any storage environment thanks to its numerous optional interfaces. Customers with critical workflows will benefit from the high-availability feature set in SpycerBox. Now, thanks to SSD technology, SpycerBox also delivers a previously unattained level of speed and performance.
The QuadPort 8 Gigabit Fiber Channel integrated as standard with an additional 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplink can be saturated with ease, without any drop in performance or other impairments. Additional internal bandwidth is even available for further optional interfaces. Thanks to this considerable performance increase, SpycerBox is perfectly equipped to handle 4K and even 8K workflows. The constantly low latency times of the DVS storage solution also permits smooth handling of IOPS-intensive applications with hundreds of connected clients.
Users will find everyday data configuration and monitoring much easier thanks to the newly developed SAN Remo management GUI. SAN Remo, which can also be controlled remotely and offers convenient configuration of all hardware and software components, among other features. Furthermore, users can monitor the system status, analyse performance and bandwidth statistics, and receive configurable email or SMS notifications. This convenient toolset enables users to administer their production storage simply and flexibly.
