Despite most of the recipients of the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday, 20 January 2013 not being able to attend due to the heavy snow, some class contenders were rewarded for their efforts.
Michael Haneke’s Amour won for Best Film and Best Screenwriter (Haneke) and Emmanuelle Riva received the Best Actress award for her work in Amour.
The Master’s Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively. Ang Lee, much lauded for his work, received the award for Best Director for Life of Pi.

- Technical Achievement Award – Bill Westenhofer (visual effects) for Life of Pi
- Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film – Helena Bonham Carter
