Popular South African tabloid, Daily Sun, is moving into television with a unique, twice-weekly show on Mzansi Magic hosted by stand-up comedian, Kedibone Mulaudzi.

South Africa’s top-selling daily newspaper, Daily Sun boasts a readership of over five million and has captured the hearts of a diverse spread of readers with its mix of celebrity, sport, gossip, political and social issues, as well as empowering “Sun Power’ stories.

The twice-a-week shows will reflect this mix, across both Daily Sun and its weekend issue, Sunday Sun. The show will also revisit the classic Daily Sun and Sunday Sun stories that have turned the newspaper into a publishing phenomenon, as well as provide deeper, more in-depth coverage of news stories as they happen.

Through the show, Daily Sun and Sunday Sun print stories will be complemented with actual interviews with the individuals concerned, and there will be a link between the newspaper content and the on-air show – with the Tuesday TV show favouring the Sunday edition, with more of a celebrity and gossip focus and the Friday show presenting a round-up of the past week’s best stories from the daily publication.

Holding it all together, with his trademark flair and unmistakable humour, is host Mulaudzi. With close to a decade of experience as an MC and comedian under his belt, Mulaudzi is the perfect host for a show that reflects the life experiences and aspirations of ordinary South Africans.

The Daily Sun show on Mzansi Magic premieres on Tuesday 16 October at 19h00 and Friday 19 October at 19h00.
