South African satellite pay-TV operator TopTV has launched a new channel for its platform – BOX TV – which showcases the biggest selling music in the R ‘n’ B and Hip Hop genres, as well as the very best of African music.
BOX TV replaces Q Music and can be found on TopTV channel 503. It spans many of the exciting genres of Sub Saharan and South African music, including Kwaito and Nigerian Hip Hop.
The channel caters to the ‘twenty-something market’ that enjoys the latest music, knows all the latest trends and is first in line at the hottest clubs.
International superstars such as Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Will.i.am and Chris Brown will feature in the playlist.
BOX TV themes include: Africa’s Most Wanted; Urban A List; Hip Hop Anthems & Future Beats; Get On the Dancefloor; Hip Hop Non Stop – Drop it like it’s hot!; Massive Hip Hop & R ‘n’ B; and Party2Nite.
