South Africa’s premier brand communication awards, The Loeries, welcome Avusa Media as the sponsor of the Newspaper category for the 34th annual Loeries competition. Avusa will also award a special prize to the creative team behind the best entry in the category.
To encourage creativity in newspaper advertising, Avusa Media is offering a media special before the extended Loeries entry deadline of 15 June. Agencies and advertisers can submit their ads to Avusa for placement in one of their newspaper titles at no cost.

The winners of the Avusa Newspaper category will be announced on Saturday 22 September at The 34th Annual Loerie Awards at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), which will bring a fitting close to Creative Week Cape Town.
The categories to be awarded on each evening are as follows:
Saturday 22 September – Communication Design; Direct & PR Communication; Internet, Mobile & Interactive Communication; Outdoor, Street-Pole & Collateral Media; Print Communication; Student
Sunday 23 September – Integrated Campaigns; Live Events, Activations & Sponsorship; Media Innovation; Radio Communication; Rest of Africa & the Middle East; TV, Film & Video Communication; Ubuntu Award
Creative Week Cape Town runs from 15 to 23 September and was introduced two years ago in partnership with the Loeries to celebrate innovation in and around the Mother City. This year, for the first time in the Loeries history, judging will immediately precede the awards ceremonies and form a part of Creative Week.
Judging Week will be held from 17 to 20 September at Cape Town’s revered City Hall and finalists will be announced throughout the week. The week will conclude with a Seminar on Friday 21 September with the Loeries international jury chairmen and other brand leaders.
