Restoring relationships on SABC1

A new spiritual talk show titled Khwezela no Zanele Mbokazi will start on SABC1 on Sunday 10 June at 5.30pm. The show is hosted by well-known author and former radio and TV presenter, Zanele Mbokazi, and is the brainchild of World Gospel PowerHouse.

This informative and spiritually uplifting talk show will focus the nations’ attention on issues close to many South Africans heart including – relationships, overcoming adversity and finding one’s inner strength. The show’s aim is to rebuild the nation by reviving strong family values and shaping the moral landscape of our society through inspiring stories.

Khwezela No Zanele Mbokazi will tackle topics relevant to modern families and deal with challenging relationships.

“I am a preacher of the Word, an author and an inspirational speaker. Since 2008 we have been doing the Khwezela Seminars for singles and married couples. I have always been fascinated by relationships. When I went through my divorce, I realised so much that I could have done differently if I had been better equipped.  Therefore I promised myself that I would push to assist single people to understand themselves and the institution of marriage before they make their vows. The same goes for married couples, a lot of people live a lie because of relationships gone wrong,’ says Mbokazi.

The divorce rate in the modern world is quite alarming and, there’s a greater need now than ever before to build solid foundations towards stronger relationships. Khwezela No Zanele will play this critical role utilising television as a medium that enjoys a far greater reach into communities. The talk show will utilise Christian principles as the ultimate compass and guide on all relationship issues.

“The topic of relationships and how to better handle them is relevant to our target audience. Our aim with the show is to provide viewers with sound spiritual principles to inspire them towards managing better and improved relationships,’ says Vukile Madlala, SABC1 publicity manager.

Sipho Kaleni, spokesperson for World Gospel PowerHouse, adds: “The Khwezela TV talk-show will be officially launched at a glittering gala dinner event in Durban. The Khwezela seminars will continue in different venues around the country starting from July 2012. We call upon the Christian community and the general public to catch us as we make history on 10 June at 5.30pm.’
