MultiChoice has announced that, in response to subscriber feedback about Dish magazine, they will be asking all subscribers to exercise their choice about the magazine’s new format.
“We have realised that many of our subscribers are still emotionally attached to the magazine in the old format. We listen to our subscribers and we’ve reviewed our decision. Our subscribers will now be able to make a choice,’ said Collins Khumalo, CEO of MultiChoice South Africa.
According to a statement, MultiChoice will be asking subscribers to indicate their preference from three options:
A. I would prefer to receive the new lifestyle Dish magazine which does NOT have programme schedules
B. I would prefer to receive a Dish magazine which includes the programme schedules
C. I DO NOT want to receive a Dish magazine
“We will be sending subscribers an sms or an email to indicate their choice. Subscribers can simply wait for those messages to arrive in the next few days.
“Subscribers can also access the survey directly on the DStv website at DStv.com/DishPoll. Alternatively, subscribers can sms, at no cost, their smartcard number plus their choice of A, B or C to 30622,’ reads the statement.
Subscribers will have until 11 May 2012 to indicate their preference.
“Subscribers should bear in mind that there is a lead time of three months for printed schedules. Therefore we anticipate that the subscribers’ preference will only be effective from September 2012,’ notes Marietjie Groenewald of MultiChoice.
