Shooting has commenced on season two of The Bar One Manhunt, a reality TV show that pits 25 of South Africa’s most handsome men against each other in a series of challenges designed to showcase their ruggedness, sophistication, physical and mental strengths – and even their softer side.
The second season of The Bar One Manhunt series will be screened on SABC3 Thursdays at 8pm from 17 May.
The series is once again presented by popular TV and radio personality Ursula Stapelfeldt Chikane, and previous winner Clint De Beer has been selected as chief judge for the challenges.
In an attempt to find Bar One’s every day hero, episode one opens with 25 rugged contestants all out to win the ultimate prize of over R1m. Five teams were selected and set out on their first vigorous challenge where alliances were steadily forged during the morning. The Yellow group, which really stood out as a cohesive team, showed wicked humour and camaraderie, but only until elimination where the ultimate betrayal occurs.
One of the most popular presenters in South Africa, Ursula Stapelfeldt Chikane is best known for presenting MTN Gladiators, as well as the glamorous SABC3 magazine program Top Billing. She has also hosted numerous high profile events such as Miss South Africa Pageant, the Presidential Sport Awards, and countless corporate functions, and was a presenter on 5FM for 10 years, and guest presenter on Radio Express in Los Angeles, California.
Chief Judge Clint de Beer walked away with the title of the Bar One Man during the first season of the reality show. “Being a part of the Bar One Manhunt season 2 is incredibly important to me as I will essentially be embarking on another great adventure into the unknown,’ says De Beer.
“I am always looking for an adventure and am the quintessential family man; I will always give 100% and push myself to the limits in order to reach my goals.’
