The First Wednesday Film Club (FWFC) will screen John Barker’s 31 Million Reasons on 7 March at 7:30pm at Johannesburg’s Atlas Studios.
Bollywood meets South Africa in a fictionalised heist film about corrupt cop Rennie who has illusions of being above criminal class, and who desperately wants to clean up his act. Rennie is given the opportunity to go legit by a cash-in-transit guard… but only by orchestrating the biggest cash heist in South African history.
The cast includes Jack Devnarain, Meren Reddy, Rahul Brijnath, Neville Pillay, Afzal Kahn, Christine Moses, Riaz Mansoor.
Lev David penned the script and Ross Garland produced.
The film will be screened courtesy of Rogue Star Films. The director and cast will be in attendance.
Refreshments and screening are free of charge, but there is limited seating available on a first come first seated basis.
Atlas Studios is situated at 33 Frost Avenue (Corner Frost and Owl), Johannesburg.
