Advanced Television reports that as an attempt to recoup some of the massive cost of putting its archive online, the BBC is considering charging viewers who want to watch programmes after they appear on the BBC iPlayer’s seven-day catch up TV service.
Should the scheme get greenlit it will probably only be implemented in about four years time.
