Germany’s digital switchover forges ahead

With South Africa’s long overdue digital terrestrial television (DTT) migration yet to commence, Broadband TV News reports that an average of 18,700 German households switched to digital reception every day in November.

These figures are according to research by AGF/GfK Fernsehforschung, which reports that Germany now has 19.96 million digital TV households.

Out of a total of 35.86 million TV households, 55.7% have at least one digital receiver.
