MultiChoice subscriptions down, revenue up

TechCentral reports that according to Naspers’ latest interim results, subsidiary MultiChoice, which owns pay-TV operations DStv and M-Net, experienced slower growth in 2010. However Naspers’s largely offshore Internet interests are expanding.

Despite a decline in subscribers, MultiChoice revenue increased by 14% to R11.6bn.

According to the results, 3.7m households in South Africa subscribe to MultiChoice.
