The Acting Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the SABC, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, has announced the appointment of the Auditor General (AG) report implementation task team.
According to a press release the task team is appointed to deal with the implementation of all the issues that were raised in the AG report. Some of the issues were implemented but there was concern from both Parliament and the Department of Communications that implementation should be accelerated.
The statement reads: In his first week as Acting Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Motsoeneng has managed to put a team, headed by Ms. Sully Motsoene and Mr. Tiaan Olivier together to speed up the implementation. The team comprises of internal personnel who has expertise suitable for the issues raised in the AG report. The team has been given one month to finalise the implementation and report back to the Acting COO.
