Dolby joins Loudness Summit sponsors

Organisers of The Loudness Summit today announced that Dolby will be joining Harris and Linear Acoustic as a Gold sponsor of the event, which takes place on 16 December at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), UK.

The Loudness Summit, which is being produced in association with the audio production magazine Resolution, is expected to attract more than 200 senior people from leading companies within the professional audio and broadcast sound arena to discuss the challenges of delivering high quality sound for television to the home.

Key subjects include: the issue for viewers; the challenge for broadcasters; legal standards and compliance; measuring and managing throughout the entire workflow; correction, verification and logging; file based analysis and correction; the Impact of metadata; real time and offline tools for correction; setting the volume once, sit back and enjoy; a broadcaster case study; and a Q&A Panel.

The summit will be chaired by Florian Camerer, Senior Sound Engineer, ORF & PLOUD, and speakers will include: Randy Conrod, Director Product Management, Loudness Products ,Harris Systems Ltd; Tim Carroll, President and Founder, Linear Acoustic; Peter Poers, Managing Director, Junger Audio; and Chris Hollebone, Sales Operations & Marketing Manager, Merging Technologies.
