Acclaimed South African film Skoonheid by director Oliver Hermanus will soon be seen in US cinemas after securing a distribution deal with TLA Releasing.
According to Channel24 the US distribution deal, as well as a sale to Poland, were made at the Toronto International Film Festival where the film is screening.
The film premiered at the Cannes film festival where it screened in the Un Certain Regards category and won the Queer Palm, and has subsequently been distributed in the UK, Australia, Germany, Italy, Holland and France.
