Mukunda Michael Dewil’s Retribution released on the South African circuit on 19 August. It is a Moonlighting Films production in association with the National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa (NFVF) and premiered at the recent Durban International Film Festival.
Retribution has the tagline: “One man hiding from his past, one man seeking revenge”. It stars Joe Mafela and Jeremy Crutchley in the lead roles.
Penned by Dewil, the film was shot by Miles Goodall (SASC) with production design by Kirk Doman. Richard Starkey (SAGE) edited the film.
Executive producers were Genevieve Hofmeyr, Gary King and Marvin Saven. Philip Key produced the film.
Retribution also stars Khumbulani Maphosa, Alan Riley, Shoki Mogkapa, Thembi Maphosa and Morne Visser Ranger.
