SABC2 agricultural magazine programme Living Land will introduce a new presenter on Saturday 20 August. Current presenter Tshekedi Monyemore will hand over to Karabo Timba when season five of the show begins with a look back at highlights of season four.

Timba, aged 27, describes herself as a bubbly but professional and rooted person. She has a diploma in advertising and public relations and has experience in educational marketing. She speaks Sepedi, English, Tshivenda and Afrikaans.

“I hope to bring a fresh and edgy feel to the show. The knowledge and skills I’ll acquire I plan to use to uplift young women in my community through peer education,’ says Timba.

Her television debut was in 2007 when she was chosen as one of the four finalists of the Ponds Passport to Success Television Competition.  Later that year she secured a role in Generations, and acted in 7de Laan during 2009 and 2010.

When she is not working, she fulfils her other passions by organising parties, promotions and speaking at events.

Living Land is on SABC2 Saturdays at 11am.
