Big Brother Africa 2010 finalist, actor and aspiring producer, Zimbabwean Munyaradzi “Munya’ Chidzonga, has asked the public to give him peace following media reports that he is to divorce his wife, former Idols Africa finalist, Adiona Maboreke.
Zimbabwe has been gripped by rumours of the couple’s alleged impending divorce, a matter of great concern to their fans. However, the 26-year-old Chidzonga has spoken out, through his family, to quell the gossip and also to try to resolve the problems between him and his 22-year-old wife. The celebrity couple has been staying together since October last year and have an 11-month-old baby.
A family spokesperson said: “The news concerning Munya’s private life has worried all of his fans, and has been an issue of serious concern to the young couple. The press has generated so much worry among their supporters, peers, families and friends. It’s true that the couple has been experiencing some difficulties but they have decided to work through the situation.’
Munyaradzi, who is basking in the ongoing success of his local box office hit, Lobola, is currently shooting a new film called The Gentlemen. (Report by Martin Chemhere)
