Business Day reports that the office of the Public Protector is concerned with the growing trend of its “provisional reports’ being leaked to the media and published. It may well approach the South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) in this regard.
The Public Protector is reacting to a story about the contentious leasing of police accommodation in Durban published in the most recent Sunday Times that was based on what appears to be a “private and confidential’ Public Protector provisional report.
