A new mini-documentary series on MTV Base will highlight Africa’s new wave of creative entrepreneurs, spotlighting impressive game-changers from across the continent who are trailblazing in the fields of photography, fashion, illustration, art, filmmaking, music and more.
Starting on 6 June 2011, Touching Base (MTV Base, DStv 322) will take the form of inspiring and beautifully-crafted two-minute documentaries, shot on location in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
The series will follows some of Africa’s most inspirational young entrepreneurs including Nigerian music video maker Clarence Peters; the Kenyan artist behind C-Stunners, Cyrus Kabiru; Nollywood filmmaker Bolaji; Kenyan photographer, musician and music video maker Jimmy Chuchu; Nigerian fashion designer Bayo; and Kenyan DJ, producer and sound engineer Jahawi.
Touching Base premieres on MTV Base between 18:25 CAT and 18:30 CAT on Monday 6 June.
