Wildlife and natural history filmmakers have until 15 June to enter the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, which takes place from 3 to 7 October in Wyoming, US.
This year Jackson Hole will demonstrate its commitment to immersive media by expanding its reach from 3D and Large Format programming into Fulldome Programming. Festival organisers say this is an exciting and growing market that is well suited for ‘nathistory’ with more than 3,000 dome theatres worldwide, around 900 of which have digital capability.
Global Immersion will install a dome theatre at the festival and integrate a complete and high performance 4K digital fulldome solution with support from partners.
“We are delighted to be working with the team at Jackson hole and bringing the fast-evolving medium of Fulldome to such a prestigious event,’ says Global Immersion CEO, Martin Hole.
The Fulldome Theatre at Jackson Hole will not only offer screenings but play host to a full line-up of production and workflow sessions.
