Radiomagonline.com reports that nine community radio stations have celebrated the beginning of community radio services in Melbourne, Australia by broadcasting live from an event.
Digital broadcasts by a further 31 community broadcasters around the country are imminent.
Stations in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth have been conducting digital tests.
