The new South African film starring popular actors Seiphemo Rapulana and Kenneth Nkosi, Paradise Stop, continues to do well at the local box office after four weeks. It has made R1.664,353 to date.
The biggest earner for the weekend of 15 to 17 April was Rio (including 3D), which made R2.4m and has a cumulative box office of R7.6m after two weeks of release.
There’s nothing like an Oscar win to drum up good box office. The Best Film Oscar winner, The King’s Speech, an art house release if ever there was one, has made a huge R8.7m after 10 weeks of release.
