Endemol South Africa and SABC3 have announced that a new family will soon arrive in Horizon Deep. The Sibekos are a “powerful and charismatic’ family behind a multinational conglomerate, Sibeko Gold, and will arrive on Isidingo on 14 June 2011.
According to a press release their arrival will bring some dramatic changes to the residents of Horizon Deep. The Sibekos will arrive to launch a new development promising to revitalize and re-energize the former mining town by bringing jobs, investment and benefits to the community. However everyone might not greet them with open arms.
The family is headed up by shrewd businessman Jefferson Sibeko, played by Vusi Kunene. Kgomotso Christopher plays his wife Katlego Sibeko. Also joining the family is Jefferson’s passionate and ambitious niece Nikiwe (Linda Sokhulu) and her best friend Ayanda Diale (Letoya Mangezi), a musician regrouping after her career imploded. Ayanda attracts the attention of Jefferson’s son Sifiso (to be announced).
Isidingo is on SABC3 Monday to Friday at 6.30pm.
