Arlindo Lopes, who has been the Secretary General of the Southern African Broadcasting Association (SABA) for many years, has resigned for personal reasons.
The appointment of Lopes’ successor will be announced by SABA in due course.
SABA membership is made up of public service broadcasters in the SADC region, with private commercial broadcasters afforded associate membership.
The organisation, under Lopes’ tenure, was committed to raising the standard of public service broadcasting in the region.
