South Africa is one of nine countries that will have an official delegation at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, which gets underway in Toronto from 28 April.
The South African delegation will be a featured participant at the International Co-Production Day, an intensive, day-long series of presentations, targeted one-on-one meetings and social events aimed at sparking international co-productions.
More than 200 films from 43 countries will be screened at Hot Docs. The opening night film is Morgan Spurlock’s (Super Size Me) Pom Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. Over 2,146 films were submitted for this year’s festival. (Source: IndieWire)
