The Best Picture / Best Actor / Best Director / Best Original Screenplay Oscar winner, The King’s Speech, was in the number two spot in the South African box office Combined Top 10 list during the week 18 to 24 February. It made R1.2m during that week and its cumulative box office after two weeks of release is R2.6m.
In top spot was the animated Rapunzel yarn, Tangled (including 3D). It made R2.2m during the week and has accumulated a huge R14.3m in its four weeks of release.
New release, How Do You Know, the comedy starring Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon, took third spot with R1.2m in earnings. In fourth and fifth spots were The Green Hornet (including 3D) and Morning Glory.
