Studio Briefing TV News reports that CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Christiane Amanpour are among the Western journalists who have been turned on by supporters of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, in the country’s escalating protests.
Anderson and his crew were reportedly subjected to punches and kicks by a protesting crowd while Amanpour said an angry mob chased her and her crew into their car and then proceeded to kick in the doors and smash the windshield.
Two Associated Press reporters have also been attacked, as well as a Belgian correspondent.
