King’s Speech leads Golden Globe noms

Tom Hooper’s film about the relationship between Britain’s King George IV and his speech therapist, The King’s Speech, has snared seven nominations at the upcoming 68th annual Golden Globe Awards.

Both The Social Network and The Fighter received six nominations, while Black Swan, Inception and The Kids Are All Right got four each.

Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), James Franco (127 Hours), Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine), and Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter) are nominated in the best actor in a motion picture – drama category.

Best actress nominees in the drama category are Halle Berry (Frankie and Alice), Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole), Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone), Natalie Portman (Black Swan), and Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine).

In the TV category, the high school musical series, Glee, leads the nominations with five nods.
