South Africa’s e-Skills Institute has moved to establish Provincial e-Skills Knowledge Production Hubs involving representatives from all stakeholder groups at five participating universities.
One of the key recommendations of the first e-Skills Summit held in July 2010 was the need for local knowledge production and coordination hubs. This recommendation was received further support from a number of substantive global IT Corporate companies (including CISCO Systems) and donor agencies including UNDP.
An event aims to bring together a number of stakeholder organisations to fully explain the establishment of the Provincial e-Skills Knowledge Production Hub for KwaZulu-Natal, in order to gain their involvement and to commence a collaborative process of establishment by April 2011.
The details of the event are as follows:
DATE: 13 December 2010
VENUE: Elangeni, Southern Sun Hotel, Durban
TIME: 15h30
