Johannesburg-based professional lighting sales company DWR Distribution has announced the appointment of two new staff members. Dave Whitehouse joins DWR’s very proactive sales team and JC du Plessis joins the technical crew.
DWR reports that it has enjoyed one of its busiest years to date, and this latest expansion will enable DWR to continue providing the very best sales and technical support for which it is renowned.
DWR’s Duncan Riley, says, “I am delighted to have Dave and JC onboard. They both have the calibre, skill sets and excellent characters that will rock at DWR.”
Whitehouse is an established theatre lighting designer. His previous experience includes working at Magnetic Storm, 10 years at Electroquip plus stints for lighting design house Congo Blue Design and for electrical designers/manufacturers Cosmotronics, where he was their lighting specialist.
Du Plessis has vast front-line experience having worked for top SA rental company Sound Stylists as their head of lighting, and again in the same position for Multi-Media Staging, where he also lit some serious corporate events.
