The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) will include a new Social Network Game category in the 2011 GAME British Academy Video Games Awards, which take place on 16 March in London. In a first, the awards will be streamed live on the Internet.
According to Cineuropa, social networks such as Facebook have popular gaming platforms. This popularity allows content owners to create original intellectual property and deliver it to a global market via the Internet.
Nominations for the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards will be announced on 16 February.
