Dame Helen Mirren felt intimidated on the set of “RED’ because of all the action “legends’ in the film. The actress, who stars alongside Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Karl Urban in the comic book adaptation about a group of retired CIA agents who return for one last job, was nervous about shooting the movie because she thought the rest of the cast would be “on another level’ to her.

Speaking on the red carpet at the UK premiere of “RED’ at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 19 October, the Oscar-winning actress told BANG Showbiz: “It was intimidating, working with all these legends. I was very scared going into this movie. I thought, “They are going to be on another level,’ and, “I don’t know what’s going on.’ But they made me feel so welcome.
“Especially Bruce Willis. He was our leader, and he was in every way. People don’t get to be huge movie stars by accident, they’ve got qualities in them that are very, very special and Bruce does.’

The 65-year-old actress also bonded with co-star Mary-Louise Parker, 46, because they were the only two women on set.

She added: “Mary-Louise and I were kind of the two girls in the movie so we had a bit of girl time together.’
