Dr Melanie Chait, CEO of BigFish School of Digital Filmmaking has been named as one of the 15 semi-finalists in the Boss of the Year Award 2010.

This unique national award pays tribute to leaders in the workplace who continually strive to provide guidance that places their company and staff ahead of the pack despite tough economic conditions.

Dr Melanie Chait established the award winning BigFish School of Digital Filmmaking to address poverty eradication, job creation and skills training nationally for ever growing number of historically disadvantaged grade 12’s who have no access to tertiary education.

Ntebo Rajuili, the nominator says:  “Melanie has held board positions in the media and is highly accomplished.  Yet she continues to lead with humility and constantly demands excellence through demonstration and self sacrifice.  Her optimism is infectious.  She provides clear leadership but allows staff the freedom to contribute to the growth of the organization.’
