On 20 August, Panasonic will launch 3D camcorders in Japan. The product will be launched in other markets later in 2010.
According to Business Day, $2,000 will buy you the camcorder (which looks similar to regular camcorders) and lens set up. It requires a 3D conversion lens which is sold separately.
This is not the first 3D product to be launched by Panasonic this year. The 3D camcorder follows Panasonic’s DTV models, 3D recorder and 3D glasses.
Footage shot on the camcorder can be watched on 3D TV sets from Sony and Samsung.
