Powerful, inspiring, faith affirming and evangelistic stories will be shown at The Transforming Stories International Christian Film Festival (TSICFF), believed to be the first International Christian film Festival in South Africa. It will run from 15 to 23 October and is aligned with the Lausanne Movement – Cape Town 2010.

Behind TSICFF is a greater mission – to transform cultures and communities for the good through storytelling.

The winning films will be exposed to the over 4,500 international Christian leaders from over 200 regions in the world who are to attend the Lausanne Movement. Each of these 200 world regions have been encouraged to submit films to the 2010 festival as well as future festivals.

TSICFF has partnered with Withoutabox (http://www.withoutabox.com/login/9397 ). The submission deadline is 16 August and films can be submitted through Withoutabox.

Filmmakers can submit entries that communicate a message that fits into six themes (see www.transformingstories.org for more information on themes, entry fees and submission criteria).

Films will be ordered into the following categories for the film festival:
·                     Feature Films: 80 – 120 min (longer than 40 min)
·                     Documentaries: 20 – 60 min (longer than 20 min)
·                     Short Films: 5 – 30 min (longer than 3 min)
·                     Short-Shorts: 15 – 90 sec (shorter than 90 sec)

There will be an International Audience Award, Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Short Film and Best Short Short Film. A panel of five international judges, representing eight languages and the five continents, will select the best films. The prize money for the categories are $5,000 for the overall winning feature film, $1,000 for the best Documentary and $500 for the best Short Film and best Short-Short.
