A number of new drama and comedy titles have been acquired by BBC Worldwide Channels for BBC Entertainment in Africa it was announced during the television programme market MIPTV held in Cannes, France, last week.
Among these is Miranda, a sitcom that follows the misadventures of the title character, played by Miranda Hart. The comedy will start airing on the channel in October. There’s also a drama series The Street, with each episode presenting a focus on a different house in North England. It will launch the first of three seasons in August. Both series are distributed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
