Anyone wanting to watch films on the big screen at any time round the clock can do so at six cinemas in Ster-Kinekor’s Carnival City complex in Johannesburg as from 11 December.
According to Group Marketing Executive Michael Bender, Ster-Kinekor’s research gives the new 24-hour movie service a big thumbs up with the Carnival City audience. “Our strategy is all about innovation and giving our customers what they want. The Carnival City casino complex is abuzz with weekend fun-seekers looking for a variety of entertainment options.’
Ster-Kinekor is also introducing a special “midnight delight’ catering offer of a Chaywa Coffee and muffins, in addition to the usual fare.
An additional three shows will be added to Ster-Kinekor Carnival City’s current line-up over weekends. Following the 22:00 shows on Fridays and Saturdays, the additional three shows are scheduled for 00:30, 3:00 and 5:30 every Saturday and Sunday morning.
If the 24-hour movie offer proves successful, Ster-Kinekor will consider rolling it out to other relevant venues around the country.
