The 2009 International Images Film Festival for Women opened at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare on Friday evening, 20 November. The festival is an annual event run by Women Filmmakers of Zimbabwe.
The festival which runs to 28 November will be attended by filmmakers from the UK, Spain, Poland, Zambia and the USA who will interact with their Zimbabwean colleagues. The international filmmakers will also be jury members of the 35mm films that form part of this year’s event.
