UK commercial broadcaster ITV expects its ad revenue in December to be 12% up on the same period in 2008. This is after forecasting at the beginning of this month that there would only be 4% growth. The boost is attributed to a splurge of Christmas spending.
According to The Guardian, ITV ad revenue has been boosted by food companies, drink brands, confectionary firms and pharmaceutical spend.
It is estimated that ITV’s channels as a whole will bring in about £120m in December.
