French actress Isabelle Huppert (Madame Bovary, A Judgement in Stone, The Piano Teacher) and British director Ken Loach (The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Looking For Eric) will be honoured at the 22nd European Film Awards on 12 December in Bochum, Germany.
Fifty-six year old Huppert will be presented with the award European Achievement in World Cinema 2009. The actress has worked in France and abroad for over 30 years with directors such as Andrzej Wajda, Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol and Michael Haneke, among many others.
The 73-year old Loach will be awarded the European Film Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. (Source: Cineuropa)
