The Macao, China International Digital Cinema Festival and Entertainment Technology Expo which will take place from 3 – 5 December in China’s glamorous Macao is the country’s first ever content creator-entertainment technology event. It is aimed at filmmakers, broadcasters, experts and technology companies.
The Expo launches with the full support of the Macao government and many renowned Chinese filmmakers and leaders. The Expo will include an exhibition area featuring top technology companies and manufacturers, a conference program of panels and speakers who will address creative topics as well as the implications of emerging technologies on storytelling, social events and networking, and a digital cinema film festival.
The team behind the event includes the Createasphere, Randall Dark Productions and Burma Road Productions; a group that brings a deep understanding of the implications of emerging technologies on creative industries. Createasphere (HD EXPO) has presented top notch technology and creative events in the US since 2001; Randall Dark is a bona fide high definition pioneer who took this early knowledge into a successful career as a producer and director; and Burma Road is headed by writer-producer Jeff Greene, whose credits include the Chinese documentary “Chennault & the Flying Tigers,” one of the most watched documentaries ever made in China with 400 million views to date, Greene has been producing in China for over 15 years and has offices in Kunming, Macao and Los Angeles. Most recently, Greene has developed a major motion picture for a Hollywood studio that is slated to begin production in China in 2010.
