In a surprise move, William Kirsh, the CEO of Primedia (owner of South African radio stations 702 Talk Radio, Highveld Stereo and cinema group Ster Kinekor), has quit.
Primedia, which also has a stake in KayaFM, has appointed deputy CEO Kuben Pillay to replace Kirsh, who will remain non-executive deputy chairman and a significant shareholder. His father, Issie Kirsh, founded 702 Talk Radio and also has shares in the company.
