CNN.com will stream a roundtable discussion with global cancer experts, advocates and researchers from the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Summit in Dublin on 23 August. The discussion will have its television premiere on CNN International on 24 August.

The discussion will be lead by CNN’s chief medical correspondent and host of Vital Signs, Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The panel will also offer advice to those whose lives have been affected by cancer. In addition to Dr. Gupta, the panel will include Dr. Alan Alwan of the World Health Organization, Jonathan Spiers from Cancer Research UK, Dr. Muttacaud Rajagopal of the charity Pallium India and Doug Ulman, the president and CEO of LIVESTRONG and a three-time cancer survivor.

CNN.com users can present questions to the panel during the live webcast. Internet users can take part in the conversation via CNN’s user-generated news community iReport.com, Dr. Gupta’s Twitter account at @sanjayguptaCNN or by emailing vital.signs@cnn.com.

“This time next year, cancer will be the world’s leading cause of death, and it’s important that we openly discuss new ideas and treatments for a disease that affects so many lives,” said Nick Wrenn, the VP of digital services for CNN International.
