Beleagured South African public broadcaster SABC is not the only one in the news about its questionable finances it seems. According to The Guardian (UK), the BBC has revealed details of expenses claims made by 13 members of its board.
There are thousands of pounds worth of claims for top-flight hotels around the world, meals in top restaurants and expensive leaving dinners.
Since 2004 director general Mark Thompson has reportedly claimed a total of £77,823.35 in expenses.
In addition, an internal staff meeting last year apparently cost £1,512.72.
