South African cinema audiences are still arriving in their droves to see the new local comedy, White Wedding, which has made just under R4.1m (as at 31 May) at the box office. For the weekend 29 to 31 May, the film made the number two spot on the Ster-Kinekor Top 8 and the number six spot in the Combined Ster-Kinekor Top 10.
There was an even better result for the week 22 to 28 May, where White Wedding made the number two spot in the Ster-Kinekor Top 8 and the number five spot in the Combined Top 10.
The biggest earner for the period in question was the Hollywood blockbuster Night at the Museum 2, which has raked in a cool R4.1m since its release on 22 May.
