Nikiwe Bikitsha joins the eNews Channel from Tuesday 11 May to co-anchor News Night with Jeremy Maggs, weeknights from 6pm to 9pm.
eNews Group Editor-in-Chief, Debora Patta says, “Nikiwe Bikitsha will add to the channel’s already strong anchor line-up. Bikitsha is one of the country’s most respected and well known radio and television news journalists having been in the industry for 12 years.’
After studying Journalism at Rhodes University, Bikitsha worked her way through the ranks, starting her career as a radio field reporter at 567 Cape Talk. She then moved to Talk Radio 702, where she was a senior reporter and duty editor.
Bikitsha was John Perlman’s co-anchor on the AM Live show on SAFM and has anchored television current affairs programmes . She has recently taken on a different role, that of being a social commentator for the Mail and Guardian.
Currently completing her honours in journalisms at Wits University, she plans to study for a Masters in economic development or international relations next year.
